Waterloo Sikh Youth Camp 2009 was a great success.

Thank you to ALL campers that participated in this years camp. Along with NUMEROUS camp councellors and sevadars that took out days and nights to help prepare for this camp.

If there were any concerns/problems with this camp, please direct them to our email at waterloosikhyouthcamp@gmail.com and we would like to hear back from you on improvements and suggestions.

Sevadars have tried their best to improve and incorporate things from suggestions last year, and only with more feedback we can make things better.

We hope to see everyone back next year!!!

Final Camp Information

Camp Starts Friday at 12pm and Ends Monday at 6pm !

The 4th Annual Waterloo Sikh Youth Camp will be held at Kitchener Gurughar
(2070 Snyder’s Road East, Petersburg, Ontario). The camp is completely FREE, however we are accepting donations. This Sikh Youth Camp has been designed to bring all the Youth together to share knowledge of Sikhi and to promote Sikhi to our future. It will be run by qualified individuals from all over Canada. Working together we shall achieve an important element in Sikhi, which is Sangat. Included in Sangat your child will have inspiring role models who are enthusiastic about instilling the Sikhi spirit within these young minds.

The youth are expected to stay at the Gurughar during the entire duration of the camp. Also, we feel very strongly about the comfort issues parents have, and would like to ensure you all that your children will be in good/safe hands. Our team consists of highly qualified and mature individuals.

Campers will be participating in a range of activities which may include the following: keertan darbars, workshops, lectures, arts/crafts, outdoor activities, fitness classes, and any other activities that Sevadaars may deem fit for this camp. All activities will be taking place on Gurudwara property and at no time will campers be given permission to leave Gurudwara grounds unless they are with their respective Parents/Guardians.

No child will be able to participate in the camp without a form signed by their parent/guardian and presented to a Sevadaar on the first day of camp unless they are over the age of 19.

Camper Checklist:

• Sleeping Bag/Pillow
• Toothbrush/Toothpaste/Towel/etc.
• Enough Clothes for 4 days
• Sweaters and Jackets
• Extra pair of Shoes
• Positive Attitude 

We are Car-Pooling from DIXIE GURUGHAR on Friday, June 26th at 9 AM sharp.
Please be there by 8:45AM !
(We will on the West Parking Lot side)

a) Do you have a car? If yes, how many available seats not including driver.
b) Do you have space in your trunk for luggage?
c) Do you require a ride? If yes, for how many?

so we can get a final list by next week.

Updates

A few updates as of today...

- Schedule is 90% complete and we will be putting up a ROUGH schedule here shortly.
- Final Tshirt orders have been submitted, thanks to everyone who have replied and given us your order. We will not be putting any more last min orders!
- We are still accepting Sevadar Forms. Deadline passed was for those that wanted direct planning in terms of camp organization. You can still submit your sevadar form and help where there is needed.
- Please get in your Sevadar (Ages 19+) AND Camper Forms (Ages 6-18) to us no later than Monday, June 22nd !
- We welcome any type of generous donations, please contact (647) 618-5764 on how to do so.

We hope, with guru sahibs kirpa, this years camp is as successful and enlightening as the previous ones.
